Siri Siri - Tokyo contemporary artisan jewellery
Naho Okamoto started her own jewellery brand SIRI SIRI in 2006. The brand signature products are with sophisticated contemporary Japanese design realised by the local traditional craftsmanship. Through the collaborations with Japanese traditional techniques including Edo Kiriko (glass cutting artisan work in Tokyo), SIRI SIRI had became one of the most successful young Jewelry brand in Tokyo. Her signature collection KIRIKO is made of glass material which represents the designer’s pure perspective on material and nature.
Edo Kiriko
SIRI SIRI’s glass jewellery is based on two glassworks - lamp working and fine glass cutting called Edo Kiriko.
After melting the glass with heat, ground form is shaped using hand movement and tools in the glass atelier in Tokyo. After this process, the pieces is handed over to Edo Kiriko craftsman to create the surface with exquisit patterns.
