7. August, Risshu (立秋) - the Start of Autumn

Today 7. August is the beginning of the thirteenth season in the twenty-four seasons solar year.

Risshu is the exactly the middle of year and it’s the turning point of the second half of year.

In Japan, it’s still very warm and difficult to feel that it’s already the beginning of autumn, but in Switzerland the daytime is gradually getting shorter and the air is fresher in the morning and evening.

Toward the end of this Risshu season which is around 20. August, we might be able to enjoy the illusional morning fog in the forest and the lake- and -riverside.
