*Sashimono is a Japanese term for a traditional woodwork technique of assembling wooden furniture without nails. By using simple yet highly skill-requiring wood joints, the parts are inserted in the wood, so that the connected points are not visible from the surface. Nowadays there are only few carpenters who still work with this method.
