Newsletter 6/2022 SIRI SIRI Garden Apéro

SIRI SIRI garden Apéro

The young contemporary jewellery brand from Tokyo, SIRI SIRI, and I, as Onoda, teamed up to organise a special ordering apéro on a Saturday late afternoon.

Since 2020, SIRI SIRI and I have been organising small pop-up events occasionally, after the founder and the designer of SIRI SIRI, Naho Okamoto, became a residence in Switzerland after her master course at The University of the Arts Bern. Now in this summer, we became one step closer to organise this special ordering apèro event.

Since its start of 2006, SIRI SIRI has been already established in Japan being assured by the fact, her chain necklace was officially worn by Princess Masako.

SIRI SIRI is technique-oriented jewellery brand, woking closely with craftsman throughout Japan. Perhaps, SIRI SIRI’s approach toward jewellery is very different from the one which we can imagine from the word, ‘‘Jewellery’’: the precious metal is not dominant in her jewellery, as her focus is on the technique and craftsmanship supported by Japanese culture and history. Her design represents the image of women having inner strength, freedom, and independence.

During this event, we are going to introduce the signature collections of SIRI SIRI since its start of 2006 and also talk about the related theme such as the creation process of SIRI SIRI and the situation around design and craftsmanship in Japan.

*if it rains, inside.
When: Saturday 2. July

As we organise this special occasion tailoring for people who are actually interested in ordering of SIRI SIRI jewellery and also because we would like to take time to attend each customer personally, this event is taken place solely on the reservations basis and the number of participants will be limited. Please have a look at here to get an image of the world of SIRI SIRI.

We thank you very much for your understanding!

If you are interested in this event, but can’t make it, please get in touch with me to make an appointment to see the sample collection on another day. The sample collection is available until 9. July.
As another opportunity to see Naho, she is going to be present at Textile Museum of St. Gallen on 30. June and make a design talk with Swiss product designer, David Glättli.

For any question, please feel free to contact at anytime.
We are looking forward to welcoming you to this special occasion.

Warm regards,
Ena and Naho
