Atelier HOTOLI by Naho Okamoto

Atelier HOTILI is founded by the designer of the contemporary jewellery brand from Tokyo, SIRI SIRI, Naho Okamoto.

Being inspired by the water of river Aare in Bern where she lives, her aim is to create a variety of recycled glass objects in which she contributes to a sustainable development and support the local craftsmanship in Switzerland.

‘‘Hotori’’ means lakeside or riverside in Japanese and ‘‘ri’’ at end is replaced with ‘‘li’’ which is used for diminutive in Swiss-German.

HOTOLI is inspired by the River Aare in Bern.
The lifestyle of local people flows along the riverside in a slow passage of time. The products are designed with the wish that the purity and the shine of water would last forever.

This glass object is the very first piece of atelier HOTOLI since its founding.
When staring at it with the absent-mind, you can retrieve the slow passage of time.
